We’re excited and humbled to announce that Lodgify has raised $30 million in a Series B funding round, the largest investment we have received to date.
The round was led by Octopus Ventures and also counted on the participation of Bonsai Partners, Aldea Ventures and ICF (Institut Català de Finances), in addition to existing investors Intermedia Vermögensverwaltung and Nauta Capital.
The Lodgify vision
Since we started in 2012, we’ve always had a clear vision. In fact, we’ve always had these goals in mind:
- Empower any individual host or small-to-medium-sized lodging business worldwide to get started and grow their business through technology
- Help them be more independent from large incumbent corporations
All of our products and services revolve around those two goals.
Our website builder makes it very easy for our customers to build a bookable website in just a few minutes and start processing payments (and receiving direct bookings) from day one! No technical skills are required.
While our channel manager makes distribution effortless for our customers to distribute their property to the top OTAs (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking, Expedia, etc.).
But that’s not all.
With Lodgify’s property management software, you can manage all your bookings, tasks, finances and guest communications from one online centralized platform.
Our software ultimately helps our customers to grow their bookings and consequently, their revenue. We put a strong focus on ease of use and direct bookings. Our customers who successfully scaled their business through Lodgify use more of our advanced features that help them save time in managing a growing amount of bookings such as automating payment collection, messaging, task management, etc.
What does this mean for our customers?
First of all, THANK YOU! For being a part of our journey!
Our team will use the new funds to accelerate Lodgify’s global expansion, drive product development and expand support for our customers.
The funding round will further boost the expanding ecosystem of tools and services that both small and large hospitality firms increasingly depend on to professionalize operations and scale up.
Dennis Klett, CEO and co-founder of Lodgify, said:
“This is great news for our customers! Our priority is their satisfaction, so we will invest all funds in further improving the product and expanding our service offering.”
How did we get here?
Twice included in Wired’s Hottest European Startups list, Lodgify offers an all-in-one solution that enables vacation rental hosts to generate more bookings and manage all bookings from one centralized place.
Our software comes with a website builder that allows vacation rental hosts to easily build their own website and accept direct bookings and payments without requiring any tech skills and seamless API integrations with all the main vacation rental channels including Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com. Plus, many other features like a unified inbox and all the property management features like task management!
“Lodgify has become a leader in the previously overlooked vacation rental SME market. We have been deeply impressed by their team’s emphasis on product quality and customer satisfaction. These factors have undoubtedly contributed to their dramatic growth in bookings, even during the pandemic. We look forward to working with the Lodgify team to execute on their expansion plans, which include an exciting pipeline of new product initiatives,” said Uthish Ranjan, Director, Octopus Ventures.
“The ability of Lodgify’s software to help vacation rental owners and managers generate more bookings and save time with automations is frankly impressive,” added Andrés de la Morena of Bonsai Partners.
What’s next for Lodgify?
Our R&D team has been growing over the past few years to currently exceed 70 members, while Lodgify as a whole already employs almost 200 people of 43 different nationalities.
The expansion of our workforce will allow us to accelerate product development and launch new features at an even faster pace, in line with the company’s overall plans for the coming years.
Uthishtan Ranjan of Octopus Ventures and Andrés de la Morena of Bonsai Partners will join Lodgify’s board of directors.
Thank you!
