Well, whether or not product updates were on your wish list this year, you’ll be getting them aplenty: We’ve been hard at work all December on new features and enhancements to help you end the year—and start the new one—with a bang.

So, what exactly will you be unwrapping? Expect updates to our dynamic pricing tool, website builder, mobile app, and more. Keep reading to get all the details!

Set seasonal pricing limits with Lodgify Dynamic Pricing

Many of our customers have been enjoying the benefits of Lodgify Dynamic Pricing for nearly a year. Now, we’re excited to announce that the tool is getting even better!

Thanks to a recent update, you can now set minimum and maximum price limits for specific periods, helping you stay within your preferred price range during holidays, events, or peak seasons. This change is designed to give you even more control over your pricing while still maximizing occupancy and revenue.

Here’s how you can take advantage of it:

  1. Go to the Dynamic Pricing section in your Lodgify account and click the pencil icon (or Define if no min-max rates are set) in the Min-Max column.
  2. Add rules in the Rules based on time period section.
  3. Specify periods (e.g., June-August) and name them for easy reference.
  4. Modify or delete rules as needed.

Boost your bookings with Vrbo’s new listing promotion

Now is a great time to start listing on Vrbo thanks to Vrbo’s new listing promotion! New Vrbo hosts can now offer a 20% discount on their first three bookings to help boost their visibility and fill their calendars more quickly.

To take advantage of this promotion, you must:

  • Be active on Vrbo for fewer than 90 days.
  • Have fewer than three bookings.
  • Have fewer than three reviews.

If you qualify, simply enable the promotion in your Vrbo Sync settings. Your guests will see the 20% discount applied during checkout, and you can track it in the reservation breakdown. What are you waiting for?

Put our new website builder updates to the test

We introduced two new features to our website builder this month to make editing your website easier and more intuitive than ever.

Easily reorder your hero images

Before this update, users had to delete and reupload hero images to change their order. Needless to say, this could be both frustrating and inefficient for those who are eager to get their new website up and running.

So, we’ve implemented a new drag-and-drop feature that enables you to reorder your hero images directly from the Styles page. Head to our website builder to try it out!

Resize group sections

While you’re exploring the website builder, here’s another update to check out: We’ve updated our resizing feature for group sections!

Before, this feature was difficult to find for many users and unintuitive to use, requiring you to update percentages to change a group’s size. Now, you can resize combined sections directly by dragging their borders in the website preview. The border will appear when you hover over any combined section.

Share speedy price quotes via our mobile app

When a guest requests a quote, the last thing you want to do is take your time getting back to them. So, we’ve made it easy to share quotes quickly via a new Share to Guest feature on our mobile app.

This feature creates a convenient payment link based on your quote, giving guests the immediate pricing information they need and making it easier for them to book. What’s more, you can do this without blocking your calendar, keeping it open for other bookings while you await a response.

Control property owners’ access

These features are for all our property managers out there who have struggled with granting and restricting access for their property owners.

Limit access to financial info

Wish you could prevent your property owners from seeing financial details under Calendar and Reservations? Now you can!

Activate our new Hide reservation prices and quote details permission on the Owner Details page in your Lodgify account to hide details such as quotes, payments, and rates from owners. Enabling it will automatically disable Can edit calendar and reservations and Can download booking reports permissions.

Give owners access to manage closed periods—and nothing more

Chances are, you occasionally have to grant your property owners access to their calendar so they can block off dates for their personal getaways. And it’s also likely that, in doing so, you’ve granted them access to sensitive data they shouldn’t be seeing, such as guest reservation details, financial information, or daily rates.

This struggle has prompted our newest user permission: Can only manage closed periods. This permission lets you grant property owners access to the calendar to manage closed periods while restricting access to sensitive data. Essentially, owners can view the calendar, check availability, and manage closed periods—without seeing anything they shouldn’t.

The result: You give owners the control they need, while protecting the confidentiality of guests.

See guest breakdowns for future bookings

Sometimes, the simplest updates are the most helpful. That’s the case with this new feature, which enables you to see a quick guest breakdown for future reservations.

Head to the Reservations section of your Lodgify account and select a future booking to see a breakdown of the number of:

  • Adults
  • Children
  • Infants
  • Pets

These guest details are now displayed for reservations from Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and Expedia, making it easier to plan for your guests’ needs.

A couple notes to keep in mind:

  • This feature applies to future reservations only.
  • Each platform defines “children” differently. For example, Airbnb may classify children as those under 15, while Booking.com may use 17 as the cutoff.
  • Guest breakdowns will soon be available for direct and manual reservations.

Have peace of mind with an additional security layer for payment settings

You can never be too careful when it comes to your payment settings, so we’ve implemented an additional security layer.

Now, whenever you update your payment settings related to Stripe, PayPal, or manual payments, you’ll receive a notification email summarizing the change. This email will be sent to the owner of the Lodgify subscription as well as any subowners.

Offer Link as a new payment option for your guests

Good news: Link is now available as a payment method for all Lodgify users with connected Stripe accounts! Link is built into Stripe and works seamlessly with your Lodgify account, helping you provide a secure booking process for your guests.

Why might you want to offer Link?

  • Link autofills guests’ saved payment details when they enter their email address, allowing for a faster process.
  • Guests verify their identity with a one-time SMS code when using a new site or device, ensuring security.
  • As a host, you can view essential details, including the last four digits of the card, guest name, address, and card type.

Link is now automatically enabled in your account, but you can disable it through your Stripe dashboard.

Enjoy improved tax collection type syncing

Something that’s been frustrating for our customers and agents alike is the (lack of) tax collection type synchronization between Airbnb and Lodgify. When the tax collection type is changed in Airbnb for certain jurisdictions, Airbnb doesn’t notify us, causing confusion and inconsistencies and requiring manual updates.

So, we decided to do something about it: Now, the tax collection type will be correctly displayed as set in Airbnb for Airbnb-connected listings. Plus, Lodgify will automatically sync the tax collection scenario from Airbnb on a weekly basis, ensuring seamless alignment.
