Lodgify Product Updates: From Guest Invoices to Google SERP Previews

We couldn’t be more grateful for all of the hosts and property managers who have trusted us to help them manage their businesses. And we’re committed to showing our gratitude through ongoing product updates to help give you the best experience possible.

This month, those product updates involve the ability to preview your site in Google’s search results, send guest invoices for direct and manual reservations, manage your Airbnb Resolutions more easily, and more. Keep reading to get all the details!

Send guests invoices for direct and manual reservations

Ultimate plan users, this feature is just for you: Now, you can easily create and share invoices with guests for both direct and manual reservations.

The quote details are automatically formatted into an invoice, where you can also include your company and guest information. Simply visit the Reservations Details page, navigate to the Invoicing section, and click the Generate invoice button. In just a few seconds, the invoice will be generated as a PDF, and you can download it or edit the guest and company details before sharing it.

Ready to send your invoice to your guests? Just click the Send to guest icon located in the Invoicing box menu. Your message will be visible in the Unified Inbox once it’s sent.

That’s all for now on guest invoices, but be sure to check back soon! In upcoming iterations of this feature, you’ll enjoy even more powerful functionality, including:

  • Customizing your own invoice numbering format
  • Choosing between automatic or manual invoice generation
  • Editing invoice numbers for previously generated invoices

Preview your results in Google’s SERPs

Our website builder is designed to help you optimize your site for SEO and appear higher in Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs). But unless you know a little bit about SEO, it can be hard to understand what impact the SEO settings have on your site’s appearance in SERPs.

Until now.

Thanks to our new SERP preview update, you can now see exactly what your results will look like in Google’s SERPs directly from our website builder. To make things even clearer for you, we’ve also:

  • Updated the naming for several settings:
    • “Title” is now “SEO page title.”
    • “Meta description” is now “SEO page description.”
    • “Meta keywords” is now “SEO page keywords.”
  • Added a Learn more link so you can learn more about search engine optimization on our Knowledge Base
  • Added info tool tips for the SEO page title and SEO page description, so there’s no confusion about what these elements are

Manage your Airbnb Resolutions with ease

We first launched our Airbnb Resolution integration for our English-speaking users at the beginning of the year, and now we’re excited to announce that it’s available for all our users!

With this integration, it’s now easier than ever to track and manage resolutions related to your Airbnb bookings. For example, you can:

  • See all resolution details right from the Reservations page, saving time and hassle.
  • Track resolution progress directly within Lodgify, ensuring you’re always in the know.
  • Click to be redirected to the Airbnb Resolutions Center whenever action is needed.
  • Review key information for complete clarity, including who initiated the resolution, the type of transaction, reason, status, and last updated timestamp.

Much easier, right? Here’s what you can expect:

  • A new card will appear on the Lodgify Reservations page for each Airbnb reservation, showing any active resolutions related to that booking.
  • You, your guests, and Airbnb can initiate resolutions for issues like extra charges, damage, or refunds.
  • You will only see new and open resolutions. Older or closed resolutions will not be imported.

Small updates to improve your (and your guests’) experience

See Stripe’s transaction minimum for payment processing

Moving forward, you and your guests will see a new error message whenever a booking can’t be completed because Stripe’s minimum transaction amount hasn’t been reached. No more wondering why the payment couldn’t be processed!

The error message will show the minimum amount, so you know how much you need to charge in order to accept credit card payments.

Update contact details at payment

And here’s another update to improve your guests’ user experience: When checking out, guests can now update their contact details during the Payment step!

We noticed that many users were navigating back to the Contact step to finalize their details before completing their transaction, and wanted to make the process easier for them. After all, every little detail matters when it comes to creating an exceptional guest experience!
