What is the Scale Marbella Meet & Learn?
The Scale Marbella Meet & Learn is a semiregular gathering of industry professionals in the Marbella area. There are presentations, giving attendees a chance to learn from experts in the field, but also time for networking over food and drinks. It’s a great opportunity to connect in an informal environment.
This edition of the event focused on direct bookings, social media, revenue management, and referral marketing with four different presentations. We were able to contribute to one of these—more on that next!

We not only sponsored the event yesterday, but also got to present on a topic that’s near and dear to us and our customers: online visibility.
That’s right, our Regional Marketing Director Alberto Fernández gave a presentation titled “Winning the Visibility Game,” in which he shared tips on how to make your vacation rentals stand out in the ChatGPT era.

Learning from and connecting with our community
We also got to learn about driving direct bookings, revenue management, social media, and referrals from the other speakers.
It was especially nice to reconnect with longtime Lodgify customer and Skol Apartments Marbella co-founder Daniela Derin. Daniela gave a presentation titled “The Top Strategies to Get More Direct Bookings” along with Damian Sheridan, the co-founder and CEO of Scale and founder and director of The Book Direct Show.
Pedro Sánchez Maldonado also gave an insightful talk about revenue management, filled with data about the Marbella vacation rental sector. Additionally, Deborah Labi presented Have You Got, a platform that supports direct bookings and strengthens the community of owners by recommending other properties when yours is fully booked or not available.

What’s the best way to end a vacation rental conference? With food, drinks, and mingling, of course!
Scale Marbella Meet & Learn ended on a high, with time for us all to share each other’s company over delicious Italian food. Now that’s our kind of event!
