Dreaming of becoming a property manager?
We have good news: you can now test the waters before diving in with the newest Sims expansion pack.
You heard that right. With the Sims™ 4 For Rent Expansion Pack, Sims can now build and rent out custom multifamily residences, ranging from cozy duplexes to entire apartment buildings.
With this new career path comes great responsibility: Sim property managers are responsible for tasks such as general inspections, maintenance and repairs, noise complaints, and generally creating a positive environment for tenants.
In fact, communal life plays a large role in this expansion pack. Property managers can host potlucks and pool parties, and are given the option to live among residents. Tenants, on the other hand, have the opportunity to eavesdrop, snoop, and break and enter (or simply make friends with their neighbors).
Succeed and generate income from savvy property investments.”
Property managers who are unable to maintain a positive environment for tenants—say, for example, by failing to prevent the spread of mold—face consequences. Let their unit ratings slip too far, and they might just have a tenant revolt on their hands.
Succeed, on the other hand, and they generate income from their savvy property investments—and a sense of community for their renters.
While this expansion pack focuses solely on traditional rentals, we think it’s only a matter of time before Sims can create and manage their own vacation rentals. After all, they can now go on vacation and rent out multifamily residences. Who’s to say vacation rental hosting won’t be next?
For now, you can get the For Rent Expansion Pack on December 7th, 2023 to start trying your hand at residential property management.
