Scaling success: From Fab Four to thriving 300
From college roommates to business partners, Dennis Klett & Marco de Gregorio ignited a dream they had from college and turned it into game-changing software. After being asked to help their families rent out their vacation rentals, they discovered a need in the industry. There was no other software that could easily create websites, as well have an integrated property management system in it.
Lodgify began a bit later in Barcelona, Spain, in a cozy coworking space buzzing with determination, where individuals worked keenly on a flourishing passion project. Among them was Dennis Klett, Lodgify’s CEO, who managed to juggle a full-time job during the day and would then contribute remotely by night.
Back then, Lodgify was just a four-man show.

In a race against time, the team poured their heart and soul into bringing the product to life. The intensity of those days was both slightly stressful and exhilarating. The pressure was undeniably there, but it was the kind that fueled their desire to create, innovate, and add value to their future customers.

Almost a year of relentless effort, sweat, and perhaps a few tears culminated in a momentous occasion on August 29, 2013—the official launch. With one decisive click, the Lodgify website went live, accompanied by a feature in TechCrunch, an influential online magazine.
Today, the Lodgify team has close to 300 employees and is based in a state-of-the-art office in central Barcelona.
Transforming the face of Lodgify: Logo and website
Tilt your head just a bit and hold that pose for a moment – there it is, the Lodgify logo that’s been with us since the beginning: a house from a bird’s eye view, nestled alongside a tree.
This iconic logo made its debut back in 2013, and while it may have undergone subtle changes over the years, those changes also mirrored the evolution of our website.
Our journey has been marked by the dedicated collaboration of countless individuals, pouring their time, effort, and creativity into both the website and our product. The driving force behind it all has been a shared vision of maintaining a clean, appealing website – a reflection of what we encourage our users to aspire to as well.
In 2016, we took a bold step and revamped our design entirely. It was like we had a brand-new website, breathing fresh life into our digital presence.
But the story doesn’t end there. The final transformation before our website took on its current appearance unfolded in late 2017. Take a look, and you’ll notice the fonts, website templates for our users, and color schemes are starting to resemble the Lodgify you know today.
